We collect information across two main areas:

• Account Data: Personal information (name, phone, address, email) when registering.
• Desktop Software Data: Telemetry data, crash logs, and diagnostic information necessary to maintain the health of your local Point of Sale terminals.

2. How We Use Information

We use your data strictly to operate our services: processing transactions, communicating crucial software updates, providing customer support, and ensuring secure synchronization between your local database and cloud backups.

3. Desktop Application & Network Transparency

To provide offline and server-based POS functionality, our desktop installer legitimately downloads required prerequisites (such as PostgreSQL) and configures local network environment variables. This includes modifying local firewall rules to open specific ports strictly required for communication between your local POS terminals. We do not use these network privileges for any data collection beyond normal POS operations.

4. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or trade your personal data. Data is shared solely with authorized third-party service providers (e.g., authentication, database hosting) strictly for operating the Mint POS infrastructure, or when explicitly required by law.

5. Data Storage and Security

All communication to our cloud is encrypted via HTTPS. Cloud data is stored securely using Firebase/Supabase infrastructure. Local data stored via the downloaded PostgreSQL database is secured locally on your hardware.

6. Data Retention & Deletion

Data is retained only as long as your account is active or as necessary to comply with legal obligations. You may request complete deletion of your personal data from our servers at any time by contacting us at hello@mintpos.pk.

7. Third-Party Services

We utilize trusted services including Google Cloud, Firebase, and Supabase. These services process data under their own respective, industry-standard privacy policies.

8. Children's Privacy

Mint POS is a B2B platform intended for business operators aged 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal data from individuals under the age of 13.
